Abstract

Block and graft copolymers exhibit colloid properties very similar to those of soaps and nonionic surfactants. For both types of emulsifiers, the colloid behaviour arises from segregation effects related to the incompatibility of the hydrophilic and lipophilic parts of their molecules.
