The Physics of Hg-Based Heterostructures

Part of the NATO ASI Series book series (NSSB, volume 189)


We describe some properties of Hg-based superlattices and heterojunctions obtained from far infrared magneto-absorption experiments. A brief discussion of the valence band offset between HgTe and CdTe is also presented.
