Synthesis and Properties of New Copolymers and Terpolymers with Pendent Organotin Moieties

  • Chapter
Controlled Release of Pesticides and Pharmaceuticals

Abstract

The growing interest in using acrylic polymers containing pendent hydrolyzable toxic groups as fungicides, pesticides, wood preservatives, and antifouling coatings stimulated basic research aiming at understanding and controlling the parameters which affect the content and distribution of the effective component in the macromolecules, the size of the macromolecule useful as film former, the quality of the film upon application, and the stability of the copolymer solution during storage.1–4
