Abstract
The senescence of human diploid fibroblasts and their limited lifespan in vitro, shown by Hayflick and Moorhead (1), suggested a possible relationship between these events and ageing in vivo. In this paper we report our observations concerning the problems of collagen synthesis of human diploid cell strains during their long term in vitro cultivation.
