Abstract
Many oxidations and reductions of hydrogenperoxide in aqueous solution are accompanied by chemiluminescence of mostly very low intensity. Its origin might be sought in reactions of the hydroxyl- and perhydroxyl-radicals, which appear as intermediates. In the absence of excitable molecules of inorganic or organic character the following radical recombinations are to be discussed:
