The aim of this book was to pose the biological problem of the significant role in living nature of electromagnetic fields of infralow to superhigh frequencies, i.e., the extensive region of the electromagnetic spectrum which was previously regarded as of no biological significance. The formulation of this problem is based on the hypothesis of informational functions of EmFs in the vital activity of organisms. These functions are manifested in three ways — in the transmission of information from the environment to organisms, in informational interconnections with organisms, and in the exchange of information between organisms.
