Abstract
In recent years increasing efforts have been made to utilize more economically hydrogen rich industrial gases, available as by-products from various processes. Large proportions of these gases are generated by the oil refining industry in the various cracking-and reforming operations, and treatment of these gases by low temperature methods has gained growing importance. The main product obtained by treatment of these gases is usually hydrogen, but often, depending on the nature of the gas, ethylene rich or other hydrocarbon streams are available as by-products.
