Abstract

An integrating flowmeter was required for dispensing of liquid oxygen from tankers and for monitoring the product of a gas separation plant. A considerable number of positive metering principles are in existence today. They are mainly developed for water meters. The rotary- or oscillating-piston meter is simple to manufacture because metering chamber and metering pistons are easily machined and the slotted cut-out in the piston can be generated by means of a moving jig on a slotting machine (Fig. 1).
