Cooling to Cryogenic Temperatures by Sublimation
A variety of components now available or under development must be cooled to cryogenic temperatures for efficient operation. Infrared detectors and other semiconductors represent one group of such devices which dissipate less than 2 w of heat when in operation, and many produce less than 0.1 w of heat.
