Abstract
Exploration of the moon will require hydrogen and oxygen to power roving vehicles and for life support. The long-term storage of these cryogens necessitates low-heat-leak tanks whose design presents a critical technical problem. This paper presents the results of analytical work on the thermal analysis and weight optimization of such tanks.
