Abstract

In this past week you have heard much about e+e physics, in particular from Paolo Franzini on the triplet S bb̄ bound states with their hadronic and photonic transitions, as well as on the properties of the b-flavored mesons; from Sau Lan Wu on the arduous task of extracting the strong coupling constant αs at PETRA; and from André Martin on the theory of quarkonia. What I am going to talk about at this last lecture of the section devoted to Janus’ backward glance are some selected topics in upsilon physics, or bringing up the rear (bottom) while forecasting what information is likely to be available the next time the Cargèse summer institute on particles and fields convenes.
