Abstract
Video teleconferences are becoming a reality. In Europe the use of satellites could represent a means of providing such a service. This paper presents the main results of a preliminary systems study performed by Telespazio for the European Space Agency in 1975 with the collaboration of Dr. J.L. Jankovich in the market study and of G.T.E. (Societa Generale di Telefonia ed Elettronica) in the definition of the earth terminals.
