Abstract
In order to get a picture of the current state of superconducting wire manufacturing in the U.S., the editors asked some of the manufacturers to briefly review their companies’ materials programs. The reports which follow have been slightly edited and represent the viewpoint of a representative of the company described. Note that there are other manufacturers of superconductivity wire in the U.S. Thus, the report which follows is not meant to be either exhaustive or to imply any special or unique qualification of the companies. The four companies which have submitted summaries are Airco, Inc.; Intermagnetics General Corporation; Supercon, Inc.; and Teledyne Wah Chang.
