Abstract

Who are the elderly? They are generally considered to be those beyond middle age—currently often defined as being between 40 and 60 years. Most medical writings on coronary artery disease consider the elderly to be those either beyond 65 years or beyond 70 years. Thus, for this writing, we shall use these same criteria in order to provide suitable literature citations.
