Abstract
The purpose of this bibliography is to list all available references on the various aspects of mycoplasma infection of animal cell cultures. Topics covered include: general reviews and textbooks; basic properties of mycoplasmas; incidence, detection and identification of cell culture mycoplasmas; effects of mycoplasmas on various cell culture parameters; effects of mycoplasmas on organ cultures; antibiotic sensitivities and potential methods of elimination; and preventive measures. Many sources were utilized in this literature search. Major sources were Volumes I, II and III of the mycoplasma bibliographies published by Domermuth and Rittenhouse, a Medlars II search conducted by the National Library of Medicine’s National Interactive Retrieval Service for this Institute, and our own personal files.
