Abstract
Normality says that ∥Af∥ = ∥A*f∥ for every vector f. It follows that ∥(A — λX)f∥ = ∥(A* — λ*)f∥ for every A, and hence that Π0(A) = (Π0(A*))*. The conclusion follows from Solution 73.
