Abstract
A study of semiconductor devices under irradiation has shown that most failures are due to considerable changes in the properties of the transistors. An example of this is the failure of the American communication satellite Telstar-1/184/. Studies of the operation of semiconductor devices under corpuscular and electromagnetic irradiation have shown that transistors have a low radiation stability.
