Abstract
It has been clearly demonstrated that renal function, glomerular filtration as well as tubular secretion and reabsorption, continue following total obstruction of the ureter. It is postulated that continuing function is possible because of continuous reabsorption from the renal pelvis via lymph and/or blood vessels.
