Abstract
Over the last few decades there has been a continuing interest in the development of composite materials of plastics reinforced with high strength fibers, such as glass and graphite. Among the many reasons for this interest is the possibility of fabricating materials for use as primary and secondary structures that, on the basis of weight, are stronger and more rigid than conventional materials of construction.
