Abstract

The largest instrument manufacturer in the world, Hewlett-Packard are about to introduce a system specifically to monitor Turbine Generators. The paper discusses the practical benefits and issues surrounding the monitoring of vibration on large turbo-generated sets. The system, based on industry standards and unique measurement capability utilises patent technology to provide full monitoring of the tifcine as defined by VCM/7.
