Abstract
The algorithms developed in the preceding chapters form the basis of finite element software. These alone, however, are not sufficient. In particular, the algorithms for preparing the input data and for analysing the results are indispensable for implementing the method. In this chapter we will define these functions which support the finite element process. We will specify their roles and describe their structure in CAD systems based on the FEM.
