Abstract
This short article deals with the neurological complications which arose in a 15-year old achondroplast undergoing extensive lengthening of the lower limbs (ELL) with the Ilizarov technique. The purpose of this report is, therefore, not only that of portraying the clinical-statistical significance of the matter but also to emphasize the need for careful neurological assessment of patients who are candidates for ELL.
