Abstract

Application of direct-reading spectrographs to the health physics field provides rapid information. By use of a coupon-type filter, sensitivities of 0.1 μg/m of air are readily obtained at acceptable precision levels. Alternative utilization of a Plasma Arc involves spectrochemical preparation, but permits a wider latitude of chemical form and physical size at increased accuracy.
