Abstract
Investigations of the basic mechanisms of transplantation rejection have been hampered in the past by the cumbersome techniques available for determination of transplantation immunity. These have included the gross and microscopic estimation of skin or organ graft survival and more recently the delayed intradermal skin test described by Brent [1]. Interpretation of these methods has been subjective, and their evaluation should be considered to be qualitative. The present experiments were designed to determine if passive transfer of radioactive labeled homologous cells could be used as a technique of quantitation of homograft rejection.
