Analytical Studies Using Low Levels of Carbon-14 and Tritium: A Method for Determining the Labeling Pattern in Myo-Inositol

  • Frank A. Loewus

Abstract

In studies of carbohydrate metabolism, specifically tagged substrates often implement the investigation of sugar transformations and interconversions. Full use of a specific label is achieved when procedures are also available which permit specific degradation of products and ultimate recovery of the isotope in a degradation product that pinpoints the exact location of the tagged atom.
