Delta (Empty Triangle) Sign in Patients without Thrombosis of the Superior Sagittal Sinus

  • Chapter

Abstract

Since the first published case reports with CT findings in patients with sinus venous thrombosis (SVT) [1–3] and the first systematic work based on a series of 11 patients by Buonanno [4], many different CT signs of SVT have been described. Most are unspecific, such as intracerebal bleeding, small ventricles, gyral enhancement, and so on (for review see Refs 4–7).
