Abstract
A central issue in insect endocrinology is the nature of the interaction of ecdysone and juvenile hormone (JH) in controlling metamorphosis (Willis, 1974). While we await determination of their interaction at the level of cellular receptors or their ability to affect each other’s metabolism or uptake into target tissue, it is possible to obtain other significant information by more classical means.
