Accurate Fermi Beta Decay Measurements and the Magnitude of the Weak Interaction Vector Coupling Constant

Abstract

This paper is concerned mainly with the magnitudes of the coupling constants in weak interactions. Special consideration will be given to the vector coupling constant in beta decay, about which there are significant uncertainties. We begin with a brief general survey of the weak interaction processes; for a more complete account and a comprehensive reference list see ref. (1).
