Abstract
Recently results were reported’ from this laboratory on the effective viscosity of dilute mixtures (X3 < 10%) between 20 m°K and 1°K. In the present work we have extended the ranges of concentration up to X3 = 100% and of temperature up to 2°K so that all accessible areas of the phase diagram have now been investigated. Only in the region of the tricritical point (X 3 = 67%; T = 0.87°K) have serious difficulties been encountered, and further work there will be necessary to improve the technique.
