Phagocytosis of Platelets by Monocytes in Organizing Arterial Thrombi

Abstract

The mural thrombus which initially lines fabric prostheses of the baboon aorta has been examined in the electron microscope. Evidence has been obtained that platelets undergo phagocytosis by monocytes.
