Abstract

A check-analysis program initiated at Armco over 25 years ago is used to evaluate the performance of two ARL Quantometers and three BairdAtomic Direct Readers in five analytical control laboratories of the Armco Steel Corporation. The program has also been used to evaluate wet chemical analyses reported by these same laboratories prior to the installation of photoelectric spectrometers.
