Abstract
This process can be observed in the cementation zones of sulfide ore deposits (Saukov, 1951; Tatrinov, 1963). Sulfuric acid and sulfates of heavy metals which have descended from the oxidation zone above, react with primary sulfides. As a result, sulfides of heavy metals (mainly those of copper and silver) are formed. Hydrogen sulfide is generated locally. The waters no longer contain any oxygen, since this was consumed within the zone above.react with primary sulfides.
