Abstract

Automated inspection has several connotations in modern manufacturing practice. For example, the automated inspection procedure may occur after the manufacturing sequence is completed or, alternatively, it may be needed within the manufacturing process. These two inspection strategies are termed ‘post-process’ and ‘in-process’ inspection.
