Abstract

The present upsurge in the use of digital computers is significantly changing the operational procedures in scientific laboratories and nowhere is this more prevalent than in the analytical research and quality control laboratories. Where valuable man-hours were being wasted with routine repetitive bookkeeping and calculating, computers are now utilized to sort, store, record, and calculate.
