Abstract
The secondary electron-emission coefficient of metals in various states of aggregation has already been studied [1–5]. However, the results of such investigations for the same material in different states of aggregation are often contradictory. Our present purpose is to elucidate the reasons for the discrepancies between existing experimental results and to provide a valid interpretation for the physical nature of this complicated phenomenon.
