This is a summary of two papers, “Reformulation of Stokes’s Theory for Higher than Second-Degree Reference Field and Modification of Integration Kernels,” and “The Modification of Stokes’s Formula for Higher Degree Reference Field Considering Errors in Truncation, Harmonic Coefficients, and Terrestrial Data,” submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research by the authors.
