Abstract
In this chapter an empirical application of the semi-input-output method to Nigerian data is presented. By way of introduction, section 7.2 gives a brief description of the structure and development of the Nigerian economy. Particular attention is paid to the manufacturing sector and an attempt is made for the almost 50 manufacturing sub-sectors to re-estimate value added in accordance with the national accounting concepts from the census data included in the annual Industrial Survey of Nigeria.
