Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to look at three specific areas of social life and to see whether the changes taking place in these areas fit the general changes we have predicted. The three chosen areas are those of work, leisure and community life. In these matters we will be basically reporting what observations we have already made, not projections from the conclusions in the preceding chapter.
