Abstract
Some experts believe that solar generation of electricity offers the greatest potential of the various available technologies as a solution to our long-term energy requirements. Solar cell technology is well proven, however, the manufacturing cost-toefficiency ratio is such that this is an expensive means to generate power. Robotics have been considered to be an important element in the manufacture of solar cells. Three projects have made significant advances in this direction.
