Abstract
In a few companies, training of production workers has become a specialized staff activity, but in the vast majority of companies it is still handled one-on-one on the shop floor. But no matter how the actual training is done, the ultimate responsibility for seeing to it that an employee becomes skilled in a particular job resides in the foreman.
