Abstract
All levels of management have problems in communication—with present and potential customers, stockholders, employees, and the public at large—and there are vice presidents, staff specialists, and high-priced consultants and service organizations concerning themselves solely with this subject. However, this chapter sticks to the foreman’s and supervisor’s problems of communication. While these may not be so far-flung in their possible effects as those of higher levels, or touch upon grave matters of corporate policy, they are intimately related with what makes the wheels of the organization turn.
