Part of the book series: Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology ((AEMB,volume 453))

Abstract

Professor Sugi has asked me to summarize this whole meeting, but I’m afraid that his abilities as an organizer are far greater than mine as a summarizer! But I doubt that any one person could do it, not even Andrew Huxley, since such a wide range of topics has been covered. Many of these are topics far from my own direct knowledge, which have now been studied with very specialized expertise by many people, and I don’t think an outsider can add anything useful to what has already been summarized in the previous discussions.
