Dynamics of Rotons

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSB,volume 257))

Abstract

We consider the interaction of rotons with quantized vortex lines in the theory of mutual friction. A good account is given of mutual friction at low temperatures and under pressure. We also consider collisions of rotons with rotons in the context of a recent experiment by Forbes and Wyatt.
