Abstract

In principle neutron scattering is able to provide all information about microscopic lattice properties and magnetic properties. Due to the nuclear interaction ionic structures

$$S({\rm q})\propto\sum_{ij}\langle e^{iq(R^0_t-R^0_j)}\rangle$$
(1)

and the dynamics of the ionic displacement-displacement correlation function

$$\sum_{ij}\int e^{iq(R^0_t-R^0_j)}\langle {\rm u}_i(t)\cdot {\rm u}_j(0)\rangle e^{iwt}dt$$
(2)

are obtained (R i o are the average ionic positions, u i the displacements).
