Abstract
Retrovirus particles are roughly spherical, about 100 nm in diameter, and have a dense inner core or nucleocapsid surrounded by an envelope with projecting glycoprotein spikes.(1) Although four basic subcategories of retrovirus particles have been identified, all avian retroviruses have C-type morphology.
