Abstract
Several studies stress the role of parent-child interaction in the etiology of psychosomatic diseases. Interparental discord, parental rejection, separation, divorce, and abandonment of the child or the adolescent are frequent causes of psychosomatic disorders (Baker, Minuchin, & Roman, 1978; Bowlby, 1980; Joffe & Vaughn, 1982).
