Abstract

Despite extensive studies, venereal disease remains a major world wide health problem which has devastating effects on both adults and newborns (1–3). The rise of gonococcus, herpes, group B streptococcus and pelvic inflammatory diseases during the past decade emphasizes the need for a renewed effort to develop an effective and lasting approach to immunological protection.
