Abstract
The termination of unwanted and unplanned pregnancy has been the practice of mankind ever since the beginning of civilization. Although it may not have been openly accepted, it has been widely practiced by all strata of society. Among the different countries of the world, abortion has been better accepted in Asian countries than others where undoubtedly there are reservations and restraints due to a strong influence of religion.
