Abstract
One of the problems encountered in the measurement of thermo-physical properties is the switching and measurement of signals of very low amplitudes. This paper describes a bus system and interfaces capable of switching such low-level signals and interrogating a high-quality manual potentiometer. A timing system with several interrupt channels is also provided. The circuitry detailed herein has proven to be reliable and flexible in its application. No commercial system has been found which provides the attributes of this system at a reasonable cost. Also detailed is a system, including the switching circuitry, which can function as a total data acquisition system in conjunction with a host microcomputer.
