Abstract
The John I. Brewer Trophoblastic Disease Center of Northwestern University Medical School was founded in 1962 for the study and treatment of gestational trophoblastic diseases. From 1962 to 1984, the Center has received referrals of 4,461 patients from 42 states and 7 foreign countries. Experience gained at the Center in the management of these patients provides the basis for this report. Only patients managed at the Center up to 1979 are analyzed here in order to provide for five-year follow-up (1).
